Join us on a full day three-in-one tour packed with unforgettable experiences.Our journey begins with a delicious walking food & historical tour in downtown Anchorage, where you will have the opportunity to sample some of the best local cuisine. You’ll explore the diverse foodie scene by trying mouth-watering dishes such as seafood, reindeer, and locally made ice cream. Your knowledgeable guide will lead you through this intriguing city with a “walk backwards through time”.Next, we will head to the Alaska Botanical Garden, where you will discover the beauty and diversity of Alaska's flora. The garden is located on 110 acres of land and features over 1,100 species of plants that are native to Alaska. You’ll be led on a walking tour through the enchanting gardens while you marvel at the stunning display of colorful flowers, trees, and shrubs.After exploring the botanical garden, we will make our way down the breathtaking Turnagain Arm to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where you will have the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with Alaska's wildlife. The center is home to a variety of animals, including brown bears, moose, elk, and more. You will learn about the conservation efforts of the center and see these majestic creatures in their natural habitats.Throughout the day, our experienced guides will provide fascinating information about the history, culture, and wildlife of Alaska, making this tour both informative and entertaining. Come and join us on this incredible journey, and experience the best of the Anchorage area in just one day!
The schedule is as follows:
9 am: Meet Sourdough Dan of Alaskan Sites & Bites in front of The Kobuk, 504 W 5th Ave., for a three-hour walking food tour!
12 pm: Escaping Anchorage will pick you up from The Kobuk and take you to Alaska Botanical Garden for an hour walking tour of the garden with Brie’s Botanical Garden Tours.
1:30 pm: Escaping Anchorage will pick you up from ABG and take you on a beautiful trip down the Turnagain Arm to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where we will spend about an hour and a half before returning to downtown Anchorage!5:30-6 pm: Downtown drop-off at either The Kobuk or the Dena’ina Center, 600 W 7th Ave.
